How to install the network printer in MAC

After reimage any MAC, if there is no printer found installed, please follow the following steps:


  1. Login as wsadmin (local administrator of mac)
  2. System Preferences -> Print & Fax -> Click ‘+’ to add printer
  3. From Printer Browser select IP Printer tab
  4. Change the following settings:
    1. Protocol: Line Printer Daemon – LPD
    2. Address: xxx.xx.x.xx (mac server ip)
    3. Queue: MG6BLK / MG6COL (choose according to the name from server mac server)
    4. Give a appropriate name
  5. Click on Add
  6. Same way, add as all individual printer in the room
